For years, I had been struggling with stubborn, persistent acne pimples – something that had slowly worn away the confidence I have in my complexion. After complaining about the problem over coffee one day, a friend I hadn’t seen in a while recommended that I try out Glyderm gentle face cleanser.
The thing is, I’ve used a number of products that claim to help with acne and I’d ultimately been disappointed, so while I agreed that I should give it a go, I wasn’t exactly convinced that I would get the results I was looking for.
Nice & Gentle On My Skin
When applying it to my skin for the first time, I was slightly hesitant – for obvious reasons – but I was surprised at just how non-irritating it felt. There was a slight tingling, but as I found out when researching Glyderm gentle face cleanser, that’s completely normal and actually provides an indicator that it’s working!
As directed, I used it each night before bed, leaving it in place for 5 minutes and then washing it off afterwards. Despite suffering with acne, large areas of my face are often dryer than I’d like most of the time. In truth, even this product dries out my skin a little, but nothing that a good moisturiser can’t solve.
Keeping My Acne Under Control
I’m now on my 6th or 7th bottle of Glyderm gentle face cleanser, as it’s honestly the best thing I’ve ever used for consistently helping me to keep my acne under control. While I still experience breakouts from time to time, this is mostly due to fluctuating hormone levels throughout the month and my new cleanser is something that really does keep it at bay.
The fact is that the more I use it, the more balanced and even my skin texture seems to get – so I couldn’t be more delighted with the end results.
Glyderm is a company that’s been going for a number of years and I’d heard lots about them before I’d ever tried their products. If this face cleanser is anything to go by, there’s a good chance I’ll be turning to them soon for other parts of my skin care routine.
Is it a product I’d recommend? Absolutely – particularly if you have acne. To be clear, my acne used to be quite acute and now it’s almost invisible. Testament indeed to its efficacy.

They do say that when you create products that people love – your customers do all your advertising for you and that’s perhaps what I’m doing here. This is a product that has allowed me to feel confident about how I look again – something I’ve not been able to say in a number of years.
Is it perfect? No, due to the drying effect it had on my skin, but you tell me whether there is such a thing as a perfect product. It worked for me and I’m certain it will work for you. Everything else academic.
